How long will Amira's show last?
It depends. Typical restaurant sets run 10-15 minutes, bellygrams and private parties depend on the needs of the client. Amira can use finger cymbals (zils), swords, veils, and veil poi depending on music choice and tone of the event. Let Amira help you set the mood or get the party started.
Is Amira family friendly entertainment?
Absolutely! Amira is a professional dancer with years of training and experience. The belly dance show is fun and entertaining for the whole family, including children.
Is tipping appropriate?
Yes. Tipping is appreciated as long as the venue and host permits. The dancer will accept tips tucked into her hip belt or tossed into the air over her head (money shower).
When do I need to book by?
It depends on your situation and Amira's availability. Remember the earlier you book, the more likely that your date and time is open. Bookings in prime wedding season go fast (May-September) so booking early is highly encouraged.
Price List for Local Venues (NW Ohio/SE Michigan)
Workshop Instruction $200/hr
Amira is available to teach workshops throughout the US and abroad. Special topics for workshops include taqsim, sassy oriental combinations, playful choreography, and drum solo. Please contact Amira for details.
Do I need to put down a deposit?
A 50% deposit and signed contract are required to hold your date. As with any performer hired, a contract is important to make sure that all the details are planned out to make your event the best experience possible for all parties involved.
Performance plus Lesson $250
This special package includes a performance plus a bellydance lesson for all your friends. Amira will bring hip scarves and veils for the participants to use for the lesson! This is perfect for bridal and baby showers. 45 minutes to an hour in length.
Bellygram $150 and up
Amira will get your party started and honor your special guest or birthday VIP with an entrance piece with veil, pop song, drum solo, and audience participation finale. Shows start at 15 minutes in length. Multiple and longer sets, special wedding shows will be negotiated based on client's needs.
